As farmers saw how easy it was with Roundup Ready Corn they were looking for Roundup Ready Soybeans. In 2006 the first Roundup Ready beans were planted on farmers fields in Thunder Bay, the DEKALB Soybean yield was outstanding. Important to growing Soybean is the seed size of the beans. The seed size will determine your seeding rate. If there are many seed/LBS your seeding rate (LB/Acre) will go down therefore you need less LBS in total, and your total seed cost will go down.

The key to a successful soybean crop is to better understand soybean growth and development. Soybean growth and development is divided into two broad stages: vegetative (V) and reproductive (R).
